Initial deployment of wireless Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I) communication based on the ETSI ITS-G5 standard (IEEE 802.11p) will start next year in Europe. For enabling next innovations towards cooperative automated driving, the CAR 2 CAR Communication Consortium has established a dedicated working group on functional safety in December 2017.

During the CAR 2 CAR Week in March 2018 the new functional safety group aligns its work programme with the other technical and functional working groups of the Consortium. Read full press release
